Our History

In 1938, Mr K. De Korver started selling bicycles and mopeds, together with a petrol pump on the Middelstraat in Nieuw-Beijerland. What started as a modest business quickly grew into a versatile company. Shortly after its founding, the activities expanded to include a taxi company, laying the foundation for Fa. K. De Korver & Zn.

In the 1960s, his son Mr. F. De Korver continued the company together with Mr. K. De Korver at the current address at Damsteeg 6a in Nieuw-Beijerland. A universal BOVAG car company was set up here, where customers with any make of car could – and still can – go for maintenance, repairs and damage repair. The sale of new and used cars of all brands of also became an important part of the services.

In the 1980s, the third generation joined the company: Mr. C. de Korver. He brought fresh energy and new ideas, while staying true to the family traditions and quality for which the company was know.

Over the years, Autobedrijf de Korver BV has also specialized in Aixam vehicles. A tragic turning point came in August 2008, when Mr. F. de Korver suddenly died. In 2010, Mr. C. de Korvertook over full management of the company and became the current owner.

Under his leadership Autobedrijf de Korver B.V. has un dergone extensive modernization. The building was completely renovated to meet the stricest environmental requirements and to be equipped with the latest technologies. Mr. K. de Korver, who was proud of these innovations, followed the progress of the construction every day with great enthusiasm.

On January 28, 2013, Mr. K. de Korver passed away at the old age of 94. His vision and dedication remain an inspiration to the company to this day.

With the fourth generation in the starting blocks, Autobedrijf de Korver B.V. continues to prepare for the future. They build on a rich history of craftmanship, innovation and personal service, with a view to further strengthening the family business for decades to come.

History

More then 70 years of experience

1938

In 1938 is Mr. K. de Korver started selling bicycles and mopeds on the Middelstraat in Nieuw-Beijerland.

1945

The Second World War broke out and it became increasingly difficult for farmersd to have their tractor repaired. As a result in addition to the bicycles and mopeds, the tractors also came to De Korver for maintenance. Because the story went around that tractors could also be repaired, people also asked whether the cars could be serviced there. In this way the company grewed into a car garage.

1946

In the years following 1946 a gas pump was added. The company soon also expanded with a taxi service. After the war, more focus was placed on maintaining, repairing and selling cars.

1955

In 1955, work started on the construction of a new car garage next to an old farm on the Damsteeg in then Piershil (currently Nieuw-Beijerland). We can currently still be found at this location.

1970

De Korver was one of the first companies in the Netherlands to import cars from Germany for sale in the 1970s.

1980

The company is taken over by Kommer der Korver’s son, Frits de Korver.

2008-2013

In 2008, Frits de Korver suddenly died and the 3rd generation took oveer. Chris de Korver decided to have the building on Damsteeg built completely new in 2010 with all new techniques and requirements. Kommer de Korver was very committed to the new construction of the building and could be found at the construction site every day. A year after completing the construction of the building, Kommer de Korver passed away in 2013 at an old age of 94.

2023

In 2023, De Korver Klassiek was founded due to a passion for classic cars. The 4th generation also joined the company.
